Meet Our Law Ambassadors

We’re here for support and encouragement.

Think law school will be contentious? Cutthroat? Competitive? Not at Creighton School of Law. Here we believe in the idea that we’re all in this together—for The Greater Good. That philosophy is exemplified by our Law Ambassadors. This volunteer student organization assists administration with admissions and alumni events. It is open to all Creighton law students.

Why did you choose Creighton School of Law?
“I knew I wanted to attend Creighton School of Law before I knew where I wanted to go for my undergraduate degree. In part I chose Creighton because I want to practice law in Omaha, but also because every time I come into the Law Center I feel like I’m at home.”

How do you think Creighton’s law school has prepared you for your future?
“I have been able to take classes taught by adjunct faculty who work in the local community and practice in areas of law I am interested in. I have also taken skills based courses, such as Witness Exam Skills that focuses on cross-examination.”

Beyond Law Ambassadors, what else are you involved in at law school?
“I am currently Vice-President of the Family Law Society, Vice-President of the American Constitutional Law Society, Public Interest Law Forum (PILF) Week Coordinator, Treasurer in the Women’s Law Student Association, a member of the Creighton International and Comparative Law Journal, a member of Phi Alpha Delta (PAD), and a member of the American Inns of Court. Creighton makes it easy to find your place as a leader!”

How do you think Creighton’s law school has prepared you for your future?
“I think the faculty members at Creighton do a lot to make sure we are prepared to be successful lawyers. The professors make themselves available to answer questions and provide guidance, while the Career Development Office provides us with all of the tools we need to find a position in our area of interest.”

How do you feel about being a Law Ambassador?
“I look forward to helping with orientation and being available to assist new and potential students with any questions or concerns they might have.”

Why should a prospective student choose Creighton School of Law?
“I chose Creighton because I enjoy the atmosphere of the law school. Everyone I meet is friendly and helpful. Prospective students should arrange a time to visit, because you will get a sense of the law school’s culture, meet current students and have a chance to pick their brains about what Creighton is all about!”

What has your experience been like at Creighton?
“Very positive. My professors not only know my name, but actively pay attention to how I’m doing in all of my classes. It’s great to attend a law school where the faculty genuinely care about the students.”

How do you feel about being a Law Ambassador?
“I enjoy meeting prospective students and answering questions. I also like offering information on questions I didn’t know to ask when I visited.”

How do you think Creighton has prepared you for your future?
“I’m only a rising second-year student, but Creighton has already given me a solid legal foundation. I look forward to taking more classes in my field of interest to become more prepared in that area.”
