Amy K. Bonn graduated summa cum laude in 2007 from Creighton University School of Law, where she was the recipient of the James L. Koley Scholarship in Constitutional Law as a third-year student. She served as Lead Articles Editor of the Creighton Law Review and the problem writer for the Moot Court Board. As a first-year law student, she was inducted into Creighton’s chapter of the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society, and she currently serves on the Board of Directors of Creighton’s Alpha Sigma Nu alumni chapter.
She is an attorney with The Law Office of Amy K. Bonn, LLC, where she represents families of children with disabilities in special education and disability discrimination matters. Bonn is also a contractual consulting attorney with The Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), a national nonprofit organization that works to protect the legal and civil rights of children with disabilities and their families.
In 2019, Bonn completed a ten-month training program in disability advocacy and leadership at the Munroe-Meyer Institute, University of Nebraska Medical Center. Currently, she serves as Vice President of the Board of the Arc of Nebraska, a nonprofit organization that protects and promotes the human rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
