Hon. Brian C. Buescher is a District Judge on the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. He serves as an adjunct professor of law teaching a course in agricultural law. Judge Buescher is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as Editor in Chief of The Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and Vice President of the Georgetown University Student Bar Association. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he graduated Chancellor’s Scholar with honors and high distinction, and was elected President of the Society of Innocents, the Chancellor’s Senior Honorary.
Prior to his confirmation as a Federal Judge by the U.S. Senate, Judge Buescher worked nineteen years at Kutak Rock LLP, where he was a partner and served as chair of the national agribusiness litigation group. Judge Buescher was a candidate for Nebraska Attorney General in 2014 and finished second in the Republican primary in a highly-contested race. Judge Buescher resides in Omaha with his wife Elaine, a Bassett, Nebraska native, and their five children.
