Ashley Dieckman, JD’06, has returned to Creighton University School of Law as a part-time career counselor in the Career Development Office. She began her position in January and is currently working on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“I’ve always wanted to return to Creighton in some capacity,” Dieckman said. “I am looking forward to transitioning from a career as an attorney to a career assisting others in taking the initial steps in becoming an attorney.”
Until later this spring, Dieckman will continue to work as a part-time attorney at Pansing, Hogan, Ernst and Bachman, LLP, in Omaha, where she practices civil litigation and chairs the firm’s recruiting committee. “The most rewarding part of my career has been working with law students during the recruitment process and assisting them as they acclimate to firm life,” she said.
At the law school, Dieckman will primarily be involved in helping students with their career search. There is also a possibility for community outreach in the future.
Dieckman is a native of Seward, Nebraska, and is married to Taylor Dieckman, JD’06, a shareholder at Koley Jessen, PC, LLC, in Omaha. The couple has four children and reside in Omaha.
