Creighton’s Jessup International Moot Court Team had a successful competition

Creighton’s Jessup International Law Moot Court Team competed at the Portland Regional Jessup Competition in Portland, Oregon from February 27th through the 29th.

Creighton’s team, consisting of brief writer/student coach Gregory (Scott) Skocy, and oralists Adaline Baker, Kaitlin Logan-Wimmer, Chris McMahon and Sapphire Andersen, had a very successful competition, advancing to the regional quarter finals. Additionally, Kaitlin Logan-Wimmer won a best oralist award.

The Phillip C. Jessup Competition is the oldest and most prestigious international law moot court competition in the world, with teams competing from near a hundred different countries.

This is the third time in the last four years that Creighton’s team advanced to the regional quarter finals. Creighton Law and Jessup team alumnus Matt Winter (J.D. 2009) served as faculty advisor
